The Confabulation plays The Glen

By Phil Lewin

The Confabulation band will be entertaining at the
gazebo on Canada Day in The Glen.
They will feature David Woodhead’s fanciful
instrumentals, powerful Oliver Schroer tunes, ukulele
excursions and fearless improvisation. The Confabulation is a unique collaboration of adventurous performance veterans
with like-minded stellar young players: Jaron Freeman-Fox,
one of Canada’s premiere musical innovators on the violin;
David Woodhead—David is best known for his melodic and
personal style on the fretless electric bass; Terry Jones—Terry
is known for his warm vocals and engaging song writing.
Together with the able assistance of their keyboard player
and drummer, the trio known as “The Confabulation,” will
take turns fronting their musical assemblage for the entire
afternoon of live music in Glen Williams. It’s all about
interplay, musical conversations and fabrications from an
imaginary coffeehouse late one night in a distant past, or an
imminent future.
For Canada Day in 2011, Jaron was playing on
Parliament Hill. However, we are thrilled that he will be
playing with his good friends, David and Terry, for us this
July 1.
